Radio svizzera di lingua italiana (RSI), the Italian-language Swiss radio broadcaster, targets the country’s 650 000 Italian speakers both south and north of the Alps. RSI is Italian-speaking Switzerland’s favourite network by far, with a Monday-to-Sunday market share of more than 70% (year 2004). RSI also has a strong audience to the north of the Alps (in German and French-speaking Switzerland).

Rete Uno targets a national mainstream audience. It offers a large number of news and current affairs programmes (including hourly news bulletins), as well as highly popular entertainment and daytime programming, plus popular easy listening music.

The Rete Due schedule is complementary, with more in-depth features on culture, literature, art, science and society, embedded in an immensely broad selection of classical music, jazz and world music, plus regular news and current affairs programmes.

Rete Tre is geared to a youth audience. Innovative and creative, it sets itself apart with a fresh and modern schedule based on rock and pop music. Rete Tre is not restricted to music, however, and is characterised by its relaxed and humorous presentation and close rapport with its listeners.
