Travelling to Lugano
Lugano is situated in Ticino, the Swiss Canton to the south of the Alps, and is easily reached by train, plane and car. Ticino borders Lombardy in Italy, one of the most important industrial areas in Europe with nine million inhabitants. Lugano is well connected to Lombardy’s financial centre and cultural capital Milan, 45 minutes by motorway or one hour by train.
